Sleep disordered breathing and sleep apnea disrupt breathing, increasing risks for serious health conditions. Myofunctional therapy focuses on strengthening oral muscles and teaching proper tongue placement to improve airway function during sleep.
Sessions include personalized exercises, with treatment length varying by individual needs.
See your doctor first for sleep apnea evaluation, then contact our Mequon team to begin therapy for healthier sleep.
We help you adapt to CPAP therapy with:
✅ Breathing exercises: Pursed-lip and diaphragmatic techniques to improve breathing against CPAP pressure
✅ Oral therapy: Addressing mouth or throat concerns, with referrals to your provider for tongue tie release or palate expansion if indicated
We never advise stopping CPAP use without guidance from your healthcare provider.
At Wisconsin Myofunctional Therapy LLC, we offer a holistic approach to help patients overcome sleep disorders and breathing issues. Our myofunctional therapy techniques are non-invasive and designed to retrain the muscles in the mouth and face to function properly.
